Luzerne County Community College will host The FOCUSED Exhibition at the Schulman Gallery from Friday, November 14, 2025, through Wednesday, December 17, 2025. The exhibition will highlight exceptional fine art photography created by photographers from Northeastern Pennsylvania and surrounding regional communities.

The Pennsylvania Municipal Police Officers' Education and Training Commission (MPOETC) has approved Luzerne County Community College (LCCC) to operate one of Pennsylvania’s newest Act 120 Municipal Police Academies. The academy will be housed at LCCC’s Public Safety Training Institute in Nanticoke and will begin in spring 2026, offering two cohorts of 25 cadets each.

An innovative educational program designed to expand opportunties for area high school students from local high school Career & Technical Centers to pursue college courses and career pathways at LCCC.

Luzerne County Community College (LCCC), Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania (CU), and Hazleton Area School District (HASD) are launching an educational partnership in Fall 2025 to tackle Pennsylvania's critical teacher shortage, where over 5,500 vacancies exist amidst declining education degree enrollments and record teacher attrition.

The Certificate in Game Art and Design provides the student the opportunity to learn the introductory skills of game design concepts and visual storytelling. Students who complete the requirements for a certificate in Game Art and Design will be prepared for transfer to four-year institutions of higher education for careers in game art.
Game Art Design ProgramThe AS in Public Health students will acquire knowledge and skills necessary to protect and promote the health of individuals, families, and communities by developing and delivering well-being and/or wellness programs to help people adopt healthy behaviors.
Public Health ProgramAdvanced Manufacturing Certificate program teaches how to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the various systems in manufacturing/production facilities. Areas of study include plumbing, heating/air conditioning, machining, electrical systems, 3D printing, instrumentation, and welding.
