Over 200 Dental Professionals Gather for 26th Annual Dental Health Alumni Day at LCCC

LCCC proudly hosted the 26th Annual Dental Health Alumni Day on Friday, drawing over 200 dental professionals, the majority of whom are LCCC alumni, back to campus. This year's event featured engaging presentations from industry experts Jaimie Murphy and Kristina Dion, focusing on essential topics in dental health and patient care.*

The program offered attendees a comprehensive course titled "A Look at Infection Control: The Art of Seeing What You Don't See." Participants gained insights into crucial aspects of infection control, including personal protective equipment, surface and environmental disinfection, sterilization procedures, and updated recommendations for asepsis protocols within the dental setting.

Furthermore, the event included an interactive session called "Medical Emergencies: Are You Ready?" where participants reviewed the most common medical emergencies encountered in dental practices. The discussion covered prevention strategies as well as preparation tactics for effectively managing emergencies when they occur. Clinicians also learned about clinical modalities designed to alleviate workplace stress for both patients and dental professionals, along with the latest technologies and products that help mitigate oral and systemic conditions associated with increased morbidity and mortality risks.
